Architect with retail experience
For our office in Rotterdam we are looking for an architect with retail experience for mixed use projects in Europe and Asia.
you have two-five years of experience in designing architecture projects that among others contain substantial retail
you know what mixed use with retail needs, both on the architectural and urban scale
you can process information quickly and you can seamlessly integrate this into your designs
you like to work in international teams and with colleagues in other offices
you have worked on projects abroad, ideally in Europe and Asia
Then we might be able to offer you a position!
Other key words: very good and proven design skills, fluent in English, willing to regularly travel abroad – even on short notice, a ‘helicopter view’, eligible to work in the EU.

developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients and setting project schedules
understanding clients' needs, developing design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs
researching and gathering information and photographs relating to the project
conducting feasibility studies for projects
preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, using computer-aided design (CAD) software
supervising work at the design stage and on site
producing sample or mood boards for presentation to clients
sourcing products, eg furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration, and providing samples for clients
minimum three-four years' experience in drafting F&B/hospitality/retail interior drawings and decoration projects
good knowledge of full set drawings including tender, construction and detail
highly attentive to detail
well-organised and reliable
good time-management and project-juggling skills
able to design, produce details and working drawings
good command of English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus
high-level proficiency of AutoCAD a must, good command of Adobe Suite and free hand sketches will be considered a definite advantage
candidates with less working experience may be considered as assistant interior designer

A rare opportunity has arisen for a talented individual to join us in our busy transport studio based in our London office. The practice has extensive transport expertise, encompassing an award-winning portfolio of projects both in the UK and internationally. In the UK this team has recently delivered the multiple award winning Kings Cross station and is currently working on several high profile projects in UK and overseas.
You will need to have a strong design sensibility with a portfolio originating from similar design practices. You will also to demonstrate a depth of experience across all RIBA stages and procurement routes, an ability to produce construction level drawings, proven experience of job running at this level which is to be complemented by extensive site experience. Good client facing skills are a must, as is experience working within large interdisciplinary and complex teams.
To be considered for this role you will need excellent design, technical and organisational skills as well as an appreciation and passion for architecture. five plus years experience in transport sector and an inherent understanding of how to successfully deliver challenging and complex commissions; working within an organisation that is renowned for achieving award winning, high quality and responsive design solutions. We are offering a competitive salary + benefits package to the suitable candidate.
Due to the nature of these appointments, candidates with Microstation will be preferred and experience of delivering projects within a BIM environment would be advantageous. Excellent 3D modelling and rendering skills are a benefit. You will also need to be fully conversant with the Adobe Creative suite, and SketchUp.
